I have to be honest, I just can’t get behind the whole sad, beige baby aesthetic. Where’s the life? The personality? The fun?? I really think a kid’s room should feel like stepping into their favorite storybooks—a fun mix of old and new, patterns and solids, but still practical. Let’s peruse some examples that are quite the antithesis of the sad beige baby aesthetic…hope you enjoy<3

What to do with all of those beautiful drawings…

As we know, kids love to create special portraits for their parents. As much as you love them, there’s just not enough space to keep them all…unfortunately. So what’s the solution? Dedicate a specific wall(s) of your home to be a mini gallery for their beautiful work. This example from a Beata Heuman project is one of my favorites, there’s an easy-going, whimsical feel to the drawings being unframed. I think one of the best ways to display your lil one’s art is to just have it taped right there to the wall, leave it imperfect, fun, and laid back.
