My Favorite Paint Colors + How to Use Them
A curation of colors I have in my home + ones that I love...
If you happen to ask me for design advice, my first suggestion will almost always be: paint the walls. I'm a huge advocate for using color, it can completely transform a space. I know it can be scary, but I truly believe that stepping away from beige or grey and experimenting with other colors will open up a whole new, exciting design journey.
The paint colors I’ve listed below are a mix of shades I have in my own home and others I just love. I’ll also share some ideas on where you could use these colors in your space. Many of the shades I’ve chosen are from Farrow & Ball, which can be pretty pricey… but don’t worry! I’ve found almost exact dupes for some of them. If you can’t find the dupes locally, here’s a little hack: head to your local hardware store, like Lowe’s, and give them the Farrow & Ball color number and name. They’ll look it up in their system, and chances are, they can color match it for you! This is how I was able to paint so many rooms in my house with Farrow & Ball colors without breaking the bank.
With that said, let’s get started!
Mizzle | Farrow & Ball, (dupe) Contented | Sherwin Williams
I first spotted this paint color in Matilda Goad’s home (pictured below) and was instantly intrigued. I then set off on a mission to find an exact dupe, since my budget was a bit too tight for Farrow & Ball. This color is the perfect neutral for those who love color but aren’t ready to go too bold.
